Machine Operator
Permanent / Full-Time - 40hrs. / week
BlendTech Polymers Inc. located in Farnham, Quebec, is currently seeking MACHINE OPERATORS to set up, maintain and operate production machinery. The candidate(s) selected will be responsible for ensuring the interminable and efficient running of production lines.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidates for the Machine Operator positions are reliable, works efficiently, pays close attention to detail and ensure all safety standards and requirements are respected. On-the-job training is available and is a good way to discover how to do a job better, so candidates must be willing to learn. Being a team player is essential since all tasks will require close collaboration with co-workers and management. The objective of all team members is to ensure that production procedures are carried out accurately to maximize efficiency and profits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain activity logs
Keep records of approved and defective units or final products
Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws
Fix issues that may have occurred during each shift
Test operation of machines periodically
Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. calibration, speed)
Set up machines to start a production cycle Responsible for packaging integrity and quality checks on each packaging order
Monitor product weights and ensure that they are maintained throughout each shift
REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good physical strength and stamina (Ability to lift small 70 lbs. bags into a hopper)
- Punctual
- Self-Motivated

- Trustworthy
- Alert
- Ability to pay attention to detail
- Able to work with others (Teamwork and communication skills)
- Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear)
